If you think that LW's poll is strangely different from the AP or Coach's poll, it is clear that you are unfamilar with the definition of poll. Webster's define poll as "...9. a sampling or collection of opinions on a subject, taken from either a selected or a random group of persons, as for the purpose of analysis."
LW's poll is based (more so than the other less important polls) on the
true measure of collegiate sports: sincerity and enthusiasm.
